Royal Tulip Grand Hotel, Yerevan

Would you like a 5 star stay, in sheer luxury, during your visit to Armenia’s capital?  Well, why not consider the Royal Tulip Grand Hotel?  Originally built in 1926, this particular hotel is steeped in history having been designed by the famous architect, N. Buniatian – before being renovated by an Italian construction company in 1999 and then completely renovated in 2009.  It boasts an award-winning restaurant and a bar/tea room that offers live harp, piano, flute and violin music in the evenings.  Located in the centre of Yerevan, it is at the heart of everything cultural (Republic Square, The Opera House and The National Gallery) and only a 15 minute drive from the International Zvarnots Airport.  Couple all of this with the hotel’s elegantly appointed rooms and superior service and it is doubtful that you will be disappointed with your stay.

The hotel boasts 104 sophisticated and stylish rooms for its guests, with eight different room rates available: Single, Double and Double Twin, Connected Family Room, Double Superior, Junior Suites, Senior Suites, Junior Presidential Suite and Senior Presedential Suite.  Room rates start at 69,600 AMD and finish at a hefty 347,200 AMD per night (as of February of 2014) – there is no disguising that the rooms in this hotel are extremely pricey!  Nonetheless, if you want luxury, opulence and to feel thoroughly spoiled, then you have to expect to pay for it and each fastidiously appointed room features, as basic: free WiFi, well-designed furniture, a comfortable bed, air conditioning, a flat screen LCD television, satellite, mini bar, local and international phone lines, a safety box and coffee/tea-making facilities.

Overall, this hotel has been awarded 4.5 stars out of 5 on the Trip Adviser website (written by independent visitors to the hotel).  When broken down, the hotel received: 5 stars for location;  4.5 stars for rooms, sleep quality, cleanliness and service; and 4 for and value.  Some of the guests said the following:
